Once suited up, you and your group from Pottstown PA will be escorted into the vertical flight chamber where each participant will take turns flying one-on-one with help from your Indoor Skydiving Instructor. The flight chamber is a vertical wind tunnel that simulates the freefall of real skydiving as it produces airspeeds of up to 185 mph! During your session, participants will take turns leaning into the wind and flying indoors! Plus, you will enjoy the equivalent freefall of almost 6 skydives!
You don’t need prior flying experience. Just suit up and let the instructors prepare you with the fundamentals of how to fly in the wind tunnel chamber in Pottstown PA 19464. The wind tunnel moves air up in a vertical column, carrying you in a controlled soar in the safety of a conical room. The room’s Plexiglas windows mean your family and friends can watch as you fly, and then you can watch them. Huge, 541 horsepower, fans at the bottom create wall-to-wall airflow in the climate-controlled tunnel with a 16.5-foot circular chamber to propel air upwards at about 120 mph (195 km/h) or more, stronger than a Category 5 hurricane. This force is enough to keep a full grown adult suspended in the air, above the fan blades, and can mimic the feeling of flying over Pennsylvania, which is the sensation skydivers describe.
It can prepare you for a genuine jump – Lots of people who are anxious about traditional skydiving can get comfort from going indoor sky diving initially. You will get worn in a jumpsuit, helmet, goggles and all needed equipment, and it will really simulate the feeling of sky diving. You will right away learn what it seems like to free-fall, without making any extreme changes in your elevation. You will also find how moving your body somewhat can alter the instructions and speed of your free-fall, to the point where your very first real jump will certainly feel natural to you.
